My art is more than paint on canvas—it’s a celebration of love, spirit, and strength. Through each brushstroke, I honor the beauty and resilience of women—Native American and beyond—whose stories are filled with courage, grace, and timeless wisdom.

Each Fine Art Paper Print is a gentle echo of the original—infused with the same emotion, spirit, and sense of wonder. Printed on luxurious archival paper, these pieces reflect the balance of strength and serenity that lives within every woman I paint. They are more than prints; they are moments of connection, ready to grace your walls and heart.

Vickie’s desire to paint the human figure started very young with a love of Native Americans, and discovering she was a descendent of the Cherokee Nation. She began to attend PowWow’s, sacred social gatherings, where her inner soul was stirred by the beat of the drums and the flowing colors of traditional regalia which had connections to the past. Her eyes were mesmerized and her spirit moved as she knew the journey she was about to embark on.
Through years of painting, Vickie searched for a mentor to develop the skills that she envisioned, which led to Frank Covino Academy of Art in VT. Frank was her mentor for many years till his passing. He exposed her to Classical Painting of the Renaissance Era. She studied and honed her skills through the understanding of the Master’s methodologies, along with the significance of each Century of Art. Frank told her "Learn the Masters, then paint your inner soul." She knew and believed the sacrifice it was going to take and has lived with mantra “Dream The Possibilities”.
As the years passed with life and challenges, she experienced a divorce. This event was devastating and life changing. She had to start over and figure out what the next steps were for her family. Art was set aside for years finishing a degree in Business and building a future. Subsequently, she missed the Arts and pondered a better work / life balance. The decision was made to step back allowing her to pursue her journey as an Artist. Today, her dream has had a rebirth and has become a reality.
Today Vickie’s art is evolving, bringing out the color of life and happiness. She was blessed to find her next mentors with Eli Milan and Dimitra Milan Dunn at the Milan Institute of Art. Vickie attended and accomplished the Mastery program for Contemporary Art. Each inspiration endeavor she paints brings facets of both worlds with a twist in Traditional Oils and Contemporary Mix Media. Her art is being viewed worldwide and collected.
